Things your pulmonologist wishes you knew
On August 24, 2020 by adminSeeing a pulmonologist is necessary for someone who has breathing issues and has been struggling with different respiratory issues such as asthama. While we do believe that you visit the best pulmonologist in Dubai and there would be nothing that you would want to change, yet there are some things that your pulmonologist would want you to change. Keep on reading to find out them:
- Don’t wait for a few appointments to pass before bringing in medical history
This is one of the common mistakes that we all seem to make when visiting any doctor in general, even if it is the best dentist in Dubai. Don’t forget or deliberately wait for your doctor to ask for your medical records and history because this is something that could be crucial to your health and be useful for further treatments. So go into the room prepared.
- Don’t stop taking medications now that you feel better
There are many conditions which require medications and while it is highly emphasized by the doctor to keep them continued, we have often seen patients slacking off in that area just to be coming back to the clinic with the excuse that they had started to feel better which means they didn’t need it anymore. This is extremely wrong because your meds are working because the body is accepting it, don’t stop it in the midway please.
- Don’t keep your bad habits a secret
Trust us when we tell you that your pulmonologist have seen everything and there’s quite a strong chance that if you hide your bad habits, they are eventually going to find out about them so there’s no point in hiding it. Just quit the guessing game and embarrassment troubles and tell them everything clearly for better treatment and results.
- Electronic cigarettes are not any safer
We understand that you can’t immediately quit smoking but trying helps. But if your idea of trying is to switch to something even deadlier as e-cigarettes then we would recommend you to not do that because there are still not enough evidences and researches to proof that they are safe enough to be used. For all we know you could be saving yourself from lung cancer but ending up with something even scarier as side effect.
